Washoe Valley

Washoe Valley is located in between Reno and Carson City with Highway 395 running straight through the middle of this large and stunning valley. The valley is located at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and offers spectacular views from all sides. Washoe Valley is home to two lakes - Big Washoe and Little Washoe. In the summers Big Washoe Lake is popular for fishing, windsurfing, and kiteboarding, and Little Washoe Lake is often used for fishing, kayaking, and wildlife viewing including many wild horses that come down to drink the water.

East Side

The east side of the lake, called New Washoe City and also referred to as East Lake, offers many home options, larger lots, a community of a few small stores, and access to the lakes. The Washoe Lake State Park offers visitors access to a boat launch, camping, and picnic areas. The mountains on this side of the lake also offer access to recreation including many off-road options.

West Side

The west side of Washoe Valley is home to many large exclusive homes and ranches with many offering multiple acres and water rights. Also on the west side of Washoe Valley is the Davis Creek Regional Park with excellent outdoor recreation options including hiking, fishing, and camping and the Bowers Mansion Regional Park features a rich history, playgrounds, and a seasonal public pool.  The Toiyabe Golf Course is in the heart of the west side of the valley and offers custom home sites on a semi-private 18-hole Robert Muir Graves-designed course. Old Washoe City is located on the west side of Washoe Valley and features a small community of stores as well as a selection of home options.
